Watch: This Leather-bound Paper Planner Syncs To Your Phone And Computer
By Kylie Woon, 17 Jul 2017

Nothing beats the satisfying, tactile experience of a real paper notebook, though technology makes planning increasingly convenient and organized.
Could this be the perfect solution for techies who also love traditional paper planners?
Slice Planner is a product that claims to unite physical and digital note taking in an efficient and enjoyable way.
The paper notebook and accompanying app make up the hybrid planning system. It can be used alongside your current digital mailing and calendar systems: “Powered by computer vision and augmented reality, our unique system complements your favorite digital calendars (Google, Apple and Outlook) and provides even more flexibility to your daily planning routine,” say the creators.
It works by using augmented reality to capture the notebook’s details and transferring them into your digital planner. Users can fill out the clock face diagrams within the notebook, which are digitized and converted into schedules. Important notes simply need to be outlined—and the smart crop feature will pick out those notes and digitize them as well.
Physically, the book is stylish, featuring Italian leather covers, premium Swedish paper, and lay flat binding.
Getting into the habit of syncing the book to your online planner may take some getting used to, but would you give this planning system a try?
