Home Depot is once again dusting off the skeleton in its closet—and this time, he’s got a sidekick.
The store’s beloved 12-foot skeleton, affectionately nicknamed “Skelly” by fans, is returning for its fourth year. Since his debut, Skelly has quickly captured the hearts—or should we say ribcages?—of spooky enthusiasts, thanks to his imposing size and versatility. Some people have even taken their love for the lanky character a step further, extending his presence well into Thanksgiving.
The latest iteration makes Skelly more lifelike than ever, with the skeleton given new LCD eyes. Gone are the static pupils; instead, Skelly 2.0 features eight different eye settings, allowing you to customize his expressions and truly bring his personality to life. Despite the upgrade, this gentle giant comes at the same price point of US$299.
This year, Skelly won’t be scaring up the neighborhood alone—joining him is a five-foot skeleton dog (US$199)! This “man’s best friend” for the spine-tingling season features all the charm of a regular pup, just with fewer bones to hide. This tail-wagging companion measures an impressive seven feet long, making it a substantial addition to any Halloween display.
It also features matching LCD eyes with eight settings, just like Skelly, and a posable mouth for added fright (or amusement).

For those looking to crank up on the terror and create a haunted forest atmosphere, Home Depot has another new offering: the 12.5-foot Giant-Sized Inferno Deadwood Skeleton (US$379). This nightmarish creature is adorned with glowing red accents, thanks to built-in color-changing lights.

Here’s some news that’s more a treat than a trick—you won’t have to wait until fall to start decorating. Building on the success of last year, Home Depot has kicked off its Halfway to Halloween event, making these frightening finds available for purchase online now, while supplies last.
